本标准规定了用目视比色法、滴定法测定有机化工产品中还原高锰酸钾物质的试验方法。本标准目视比色法适用于醇、酮等中性、弱酸及弱碱性有机化工产品中含有还原性物质的滴定；滴定法适用于高锰酸钾指数等于或大于10mg/100mL且主含量在酸性条件下不与高锰酸钾发生反应的有机化工产品。
