【摘要】:Thistestmethodisastandardprocedurefordeterminingwaterleakagethroughmetalroofpanelsystemsideseams,endlaps,androofplanepenetrationswhentheroofsystemissubjectedtoaspecifiedstaticwaterpressurehead.Note28212;Inapplyingtheresultsoftestsbythismethod,notethattheperformanceofarooforitscomponentsorboth,isinpartafunctionofproperinstallationandadjustment.Inservice,theperformancewillalsodependontheintegrityofthesupportingconstruction,roofslope,andontheresistanceofcomponentstodeteriorationbyvariouscauses:corrosiveatmosphere,aging,ice,vibration,thermalcycling,etc.Itisdifficulttosimulatetheidenticalcomplexwetting,aging,andothervariableconditionsthatcanbeencounteredinservice,includingwind-blownpondedwater;theeffectsoftemperatureandageonsealantperformance;differentialpressureacrossthejointsduetowind,snow,andiceaccumulation;densificationandmigration;andabrasionswithinthejointcomponentswhichmayoccurduringthermalcyclingandotherweatherevents.Somejointconditionsaremoresensitivethanotherstothesefactors.Thistestmethodwillevaluatetheresistanceofroofpanels,sideseams,endlaps,androofplanepenetrationstowatersubmersion.Itwillnotevaluatepanelresistancetowinddrivenrain.Note38212;SeeTestMethodE1646foratestwhichevaluatesresistancetowinddrivenrain.Thistestmethodisnotastructuraladequacytest.Thistestmethodisapplicabletosingleskinmetalpanels,theexteriorskinoffactoryassembledcompositepanels,andtheexteriorskinoffieldassembledcompositesystemsaslongasmeanscanbeprovidedtodistinguishleakagethroughtheexteriorpanelsideseams/endlapsandperimeterleakage.1.1Thislaboratorytestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheresistancetowaterpenetrationofexteriormetalroofpanelsystemsideseams,endlaps,androofplanepenetrationswhenaspecifiedstaticwaterpressureheadisappliedtotheoutsidefaceoftheroofpanel.Note18212;Thistestmethodisintendedtoevaluatewater-barrier(notwater-shedding)roofsystemjointsanddetails.Thesesystemsarealsoreferredtoashydrostaticroofsystems.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtospecimensinwhichthesideseamsandattachmentsareclearlyvisibleandinwhichthesourceofleakageisreadilyobservable.1.3Thistestmethodexcludesperformanceatroofperimeterconditions.1.4Thistestmethodissuitableforevaluatingleakageatroofplanepenetrationssuchasfasteners,curbs,pipes,andexpansionjointsunderastaticwaterpressurehead.1.5Theproperuseofthistestmethodrequiresaknowledgeoftheprinciplesofwaterpressure.1.6Thetextofthisstandardincludesnotesandfootnotesexcludingtablesandfigures,whichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotesshallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.7Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificpr......
